On Tuesday, we held our second MESH event. It’s an event that exists to build Creative Collisions between the Makers, Entrepreneurs, Students & Hackers across upstate NY. It’s the ONLY networking event of it’s type in Central NY.
This month, in addition to our regular networking, we had attendees divide up into teams to take the Marshmellow Challenge. Each team had 20 pieces of spaghetti, 9ft string, 3ft tape, and a marshmellow. The challenge was to build as tall of a structure as possible that would support the weight of the marshmellow on top.
It’s a great way to see how people think, collaborate, and solve problems. Finally, to round out the evening we heard 3 Ignite-style presentations from local startups in cluding Rome Fiber, Lilo Hydration and Sky Tube Live.
