Our Experts in Residence Program connects eligible thINCubator and Mohawk Valley SBDC clients with trusted professionals for a free, high-impact advisory session. Whether you’re just starting out or growing something new, this is your chance to get expert input without the usual barriers.

Who’s Eligible:

If you’re a current client of the thINCubator or Mohawk Valley SBDC—or participating in one of our Refinery cohorts —you’re eligible to meet with an Expert in Residence. Not yet connected? Reach out to us and we’ll help get you started.

How It Works:

  • Experts will host free advising sessions throughout the month

  • You’ll meet by appointment only—either virtually or in person at thINCubator.

  • We’ll refer you directly to the expert’s booking system (or coordinate introductions)

  • Sessions are tailored to your business and your needs—strategy, Q&A, walkthroughs, audits, or creative problem-solving

  • Your first session is free and always focused on providing real value

  • If you want to keep working together beyond that, you can explore paid consulting directly with the expert
