thincthe thINCubator exists to help startups and small businesses throughout the Mohawk Valley and our region. We provide the People, the Programs and the Place to help make your business idea a success. In addition to our Co-Working options, we also provide incubation space and services to a select number of entrepreneurs and their teams.

Incubated companies are granted thINCubator services (some of which are listed below) on a pro-bono basis providing they meet and maintain our eligibility requirements.

Process: Prior to applying for entry into the incubator, please refer to the eligibility requirements to ensure there is an appropriate fit. Please note that all entry decisions are made by incubator staff.

  • Companies who are applying for incubation must have participated in one of our ideation or acceleration cohorts, or other thINCubator programming.
  • Companies must have a formal entity (LLC, S Corp, C Corp, etc.)
  • Companies must be past the ideation stage (this means you’re beyond the ‘back of the napkin’ business plan – that you clearly understand your product/service, target market and the necessary team).
  • Companies must have a clear path to market or some form of scalable growth plan
Terms & Conditions

Incubated companies must agree to the following reporting and community guidelines to be accepted.

Incubated companies agree to provide thINCubator with quarterly reports and metrics that we share with NY State. Metrics and data include: Capital Raised, Value of thINC Services, Percent of Sales Growth, New Jobs Created and a Statement of Work.

Incubated companies must also participate in some form of community giveback for the thINCubator. This can take many forms including leading a workshop, office hours for members, pro-bono services, digital content, video blogs and more.

Incubated companies must maintain a growth trajectory and exit strategy agreed to by the thINCubator. Companies that experience 2 consecutive quarters of decline or stagnation must revisit their incubation agreement with thINCubator to maintain their status or fold into our co-working services.
